Mr. Woolford joined Cerberus in 2017 and oversees the capital markets function for Cerberus Business Finance. In his role, Mr. Woolford is primarily focused on the origination and distribution of loan opportunities and maintains strong relationships with established banks and the investment community. As a leader in the leveraged finance industry, Cerberus Business Finance has become a premier lending platform to middle-market companies and private equity sponsors in a wide variety of situations and industries, with significant repeat business.

Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Woolford held various senior roles at Jefferies and most recently, was a Managing Director and the Head of Leveraged Loan Sales. Mr. Woolford also worked at CIBC World Markets, Morgan Stanley, and BT Securities where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and distributing high-yield and investment grade private placement securities. Mr. Woolford started his 35-year finance career at Chemical Bank, where he completed the Credit Training Program and focused on the energy industry in the banking group.

Mr. Woolford graduated from Middlebury College and received an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Wildlife Refuge Association and is a member of the Leadership Council for Americares, a non-profit disaster relief and global health organization. Mr. Woolford is also a past board member of the Norwalk Community College Foundation, the Rowayton Civic Association and a Founder and former board member of Shakespeare on the Sound, a non-profit professional theater company with an educational programming goal to build community through arts.
