Mr. Chu is Deputy General Counsel Europe for Cerberus. In this role, Mr. Chu supports the Firm’s global legal functions and activities, including providing regulatory counsel and oversight in respect of Cerberus’ non-US affiliates and advising on structuring matters, with a focus on the Firm’s non-US strategic initiatives. During his tenure at Cerberus, Mr. Chu has provided legal advice and counsel on a range of transactional, financing, corporate, and regulatory matters to several investment desks and portfolio companies, as well as functional support to the Office of the General Counsel.
Prior to Cerberus, Mr. Chu was an Associate at Lowenstein Sandler representing private equity and hedge fund clients on fund formation, transactional, corporate, regulatory, securities and derivative matters.
Mr. Chu graduated from Rutgers University and received his J.D. from the University of Buffalo Law School. Mr. Chu is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.
