Mr. Hartman is a Managing Director on the Supply Chain and Strategic Opportunities team, which invests in businesses seeking to drive next-generation technologies and capabilities that advance supply chain integrity. Mr. Hartman has served on several government, nonprofit, and industry boards, bringing a combination of customer, investment, and business operations experience to Cerberus.
Prior to joining Cerberus in 2025, he led an EO/IR sensors company, growing the business over several years before a successful sale to a strategic investor. Before this leadership role, Mr. Hartman spent nearly a decade as a partner at a management consulting firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions across the aerospace and defense industry. Earlier in his career, he served in multiple roles as a government employee, including as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space and Intelligence, as well as a professional staff member on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Armed Services Committee. He began his career as an Air Force finance and acquisitions officer.
Mr. Hartman holds a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence and Middle East Affairs from the National Intelligence University.
