Mr. Harrell is a Managing Director on the Residential Opportunities team. He joined Cerberus in 2022 and is responsible for representing the Firm’s residential investment platform to investment consultants and institutional investors globally.
Prior to Cerberus, Mr. Harrell was Head of Investor Relations and Business Development for Lennar, one of the largest United States’ homebuilders, where he led fundraising for investment platforms across its single-family rental and multifamily property sectors. From 2012 to 2019, he held similar roles within the private equity real estate group of Guggenheim Investments, which was subsequently acquired by GWL Realty Advisors, the real estate investment management arm of one of Canada’s largest insurance companies, Great-West Lifeco.
Prior to Guggenheim, Mr. Harrell held business development positions at Wells Fargo Bank under the Global Head of Treasury Management. He started his career at Accenture advising Fortune 500 clients in the Insurance, Banking, and Capital Markets practice group on pre- and post-M&A integration and growth strategies.
Mr. Harrell is an active member of the Pension Real Estate Association, the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate, and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. He is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
