Mr. Laufer joined Cerberus in 2018 to lead Cerberus’ technology platform. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Cerberus Technology Solutions, which is the Firm’s operating subsidiary focused on growing the understanding and use of technology, data, and artificial intelligence in investment activities and at the Firm’s portfolio companies. Mr. Laufer oversees a team of experts in the practice areas of digital and eCommerce, cybersecurity, cloud, software development, data management, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies. Mr. Laufer and the Cerberus Technology Solution team work closely with investment and operating professionals across the Firm’s global businesses and platforms on a variety of operating initiatives targeted at improving systems and generating value from data.
Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Laufer was the founder and Head of Intelligent Solutions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., which focused on maturing and applying emerging technology and realizing value from the vast data assets of the bank. Prior to JPMorgan, Mr. Laufer co-founded and was Chief Executive Officer of Argus Information and Advisory Services, LLC. Since its inception in 1997, Argus grew to be the leading provider of information and analytical solutions to the payments industry. In 2012, Argus was sold to Verisk Analytics.
Mr. Laufer graduated from Harvard University and received an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. Mr. Laufer serves as Co-Chairman on the Albertsons Board of Directors and is also the Co-Chair for Albertsons’ Technology Committee. He also sits on the Board for The Center for Financial Services Innovation and is a member of its Finance Committee.
