Mr. Chang joined Cerberus in 2018 and is Head of U.S. Real Estate Asset Management. Cerberus is a leading global investor in real estate and real estate-related assets and in his role, Mr. Chang oversees the firm’s direct real estate investments in the U.S. across multiple asset classes. He also collaborates with Cerberus’ real estate joint venture partners in all aspects of asset management, including redevelopment, revenue maximization, financing, and disposition.
Prior to Cerberus, Mr. Chang was at Angelo Gordon for more than 16 years. At Angelo Gordon, he was most recently a Managing Director in the Real Estate Private Equity Group and executed and oversaw real estate investments in the U.S. totaling more than $3.5 billion on behalf of both opportunistic and core plus strategies across asset classes. He was also a member of Angelo Gordon’s U.S. Real Estate Investment Committee and active in its fundraising and portfolio management activities. Mr. Chang began his career at Bear Stearns in its Investment Banking division.
Mr. Chang graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University. He lives in Manhattan with his wife and two children.
