Dr. Kheradpir is a Senior Managing Director on the Supply Chain and Strategic Opportunities team, which invests in businesses seeking to drive next-generation technologies and capabilities that advance supply chain integrity.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kheradpir has implemented advanced technology to drive transformational change, holding senior leadership roles at Verizon, Barclays, Juniper Networks and Coriant (formerly Tellabs, Siemens Optical, and Sycamore). During his tenure at Verizon, he served as Group CTIO and as a member of the company’s founding Executive Leadership Committee, helping transform the business from a traditional phone company into a premier global telecom. He was also a pioneer in FiOS broadband fiber and 4G/LTE wireless.

As Group COO of Barclays, Dr. Kheradpir helped set the course for 21st-century industrialization in financial services. He led the TRANSFORM Program, significantly improving the firm’s cost-income ratio, and pioneered industry-first fintech innovations including Pingit mobile payments, bank digitization and automation.

As CEO of Juniper Networks, Dr. Kheradpir launched cloud-builder and high-IQ networking products, as well as automation and machine learning initiatives. He also implemented an Integrated Operating Plan (IOP) that streamlined operations and drove substantial operating income and revenue growth from hyperscalers.

Dr. Kheradpir also served as Chairman and CEO of Coriant, where he integrated three predecessor companies to create industry-first hyperscale carrier architecture products, including the Groove inter–data center transport platform, helping propel Coriant to a leadership position in optical networking equipment.

Dr. Kheradpir earned his B.S., M.E., and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University, where he also serves on the Engineering Council. In addition, he has served on the Advisory Board of the U.S. National Institute of Standards & Technology. Dr. Kheradpir was named an Outstanding Young Engineer by the U.S. National Academy of Engineering in 1990, inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame in 2006, received an Emmy Award in 2010 from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for FiOS Interactive TV and awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2014.
