Mr. Rakusan is a Managing Director on the Supply Chain and Strategic Opportunities team, which invests in businesses driving next-generation technologies and capabilities that advance supply chain integrity.
Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Rakusan was a Managing Director at Tracker Capital, a venture capital-oriented family office that principally invested in emerging technologies. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Rakusan completed 39 years of service with the Central Intelligence Agency. His senior assignments during his tenure included Deputy Director for Operations, Assistant Director for Europe and Eurasia, Chief of the Near East Division, and several Chief of Station postings across Europe, Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East. Throughout his career, Mr. Rakusan had regular, inter-agency interaction with officials across the most senior levels of the United States’ national security infrastructure, including the National Security Council, as well as engagement with senior foreign partners, including Heads of Government and State.
Mr. Rakusan holds a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a master’s degree in International Economics from The George Washington University.
