Mr. Tamura is Head of Cerberus Japan Capital Formation Advisory, where he leads capital raising efforts for the Firm in Japan.
Prior to joining Cerberus in 2025, Mr. Tamura was a Managing Director at Aksia Japan from 2007 to 2025, where he was instrumental in establishing and growing the Tokyo office for nearly two decades. At Aksia, he developed and executed comprehensive alternative investment programs across Private Debt, Real Estate, Private Equity and Hedge Fund strategies, consistently delivering customized portfolio solutions aligned with institutional client objectives.
Prior to Aksia, Mr. Tamura was a Senior Business Analyst at A.T. Kearney from 2004 to 2007, where he led multi-cultural projects across Asia and the US, implementing strategic initiatives for major telecom, utility, and chemical companies. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Solution Advisor at NTT DoCoMo.
Mr. Tamura graduated from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance.
